Neil Blair Christensen leads Research Square’s sales, account management, and business development functions. He drives growth strategy and builds the company’s customer base of global research institutions and scholarly publishing organizations. He also plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s software as a service (SaaS) strategy and bringing its artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools and services to market.
He has built a 20-year career in scholarly publishing, holding a range of global leadership roles in business development, sales, and editorial management for other major scholarly publishing organizations, including Nature Publishing Group, Wiley, Blackwell, and University of California Press.
Christensen has spoken at more than 20 industry events, including those hosted and organized by the Society for Scholarly Publishing, International Society of Managing and Technical Editors, Council of Science Editors, The International Association of Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishers (STM), Association of University Presses, and the National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS). He has presented on topics such as AI applications, publishing workflows and innovation, and engages with researchers and colleagues in the publishing community on a daily basis.
Christensen holds BA and MA degrees in Greenlandic and Arctic studies from the University of Copenhagen.
