Amye joined Research Square Company as VP of Product and Publishing in 2020 and brings with her 20 years of experience in the research communication industry. In the past she has held various positions across all aspects of the publishing process and major publishing houses. Amye has worked on projects, working groups and authored publications related to open access, open data and reproducible research.
She leads the Product, Publishing, and User Experience divisions at Research Square Company in vision, strategy and implementation, and in doing so balances the performance of our traditional product lines with establishing more disruptive AI-driven and technology based product lines. She is specifically responsible for the Research Square digital products and platform as well as our Manuscript Preparation Services under the AJE brand.
Amye works with research communities to support initiatives that help drive open science and make published research fairer and more reproducible. She served as Treasurer for the FORCE11 community for 5 years and has been extensively involved in organisations such as the Research Data Alliance. She also gives regular industry talks and workshops on behalf of the company, covering topics such as disruptive publishing technologies, preprints and open science.
Before coming to Research Square Company Amye held various positions in the STM publishing industry, including roles spearheading open data initiatives at the open access publisher Biomed Central and serving as Global Head of Open Access Life Sciences at Springer Nature.
