Research Square Company Truly Offers “Brands That Matter”

In October 2021, Research Square Company became one of only 95 organizations featured in Fast Company magazine’s inaugural Brands that Matter list, which honors organizations that do more than merely sell products or provide services through their brands. These are companies and nonprofits that have achieved relevance through cultural impact and the application of their missions and ideals.

We’ve achieved relevance in the industry by staying true to our mission: “to make research communication faster, fairer, and more useful.”  Guided by our core values, we developed products and services that support our mission while changing the world of academic publishing for the better.  

Through our Research Square preprint platform, we’ve greatly sped up the communication of research during the pandemic, playing a role in helping scientists develop vaccines, more quickly.  Through our powerful AI-based digital tools and services, we’ve helped level the playing field for researchers in developing nations who have difficulties getting published in English-language peer-reviewed journals.  And through our research promotion services, we simplify complex research so that it is more useful and understandable to non-academics.
